Visualization and Analytics (VIS) Lab

The Visualization and Analytics (VIS) Lab investigates how people understand complex information through visual and interactive techniques. The lab focuses on information visualization, visual analytics, exploratory interfaces, multiple coordinated views, and innovative sensory modalities such as tangible and touch‑based interaction. Its work spans Big Data, multivariate analysis, and collaborations with climate scientists, language interpreters, social scientists, ocean researchers, and heritage specialists.

XReality and Visual Analytics (XRVA) Lab banner

XReality and Visual Analytics (XRVA) Lab

The XReality and Visual Analytics (XRVA) Lab brings together expertise in human‑computer interaction, immersive technologies, and next‑generation visual analytics. XRVA investigates how mixed reality, virtual reality, and cross‑device ecosystems can enhance human‑data interaction. Their work explores immersive analytics, beyond‑the‑desktop visualization, and situated data experiences, with a strong emphasis on Web‑based interactive and collaborative visual analytics systems.
